Skoda Fabia Mk II (2007-2014) temperature gauge. i have a fabia 1.2 htp without the maxi dot or mdi. i can't see any digital or anologue temperature gauge for the engine or oil. is it hidden in one of the menus or somewhere. i can't believe it doesn't have any sort of temperature gauge for the oil or engine.

I've had a 12 valve 1.2 htp (70 bhp) for about 3 years now and covered roughly 50,000+ in that time. The engine is lovely and will handle everyday motoring comfortably as long as you don't overload the car, but you will need to use the gearbox as the power comes in at a low 3000 revs.
Check the fluids when you get the car as they are at hand over. Check what the tyre pressures are at and that gives an idea if the tech / fitter that did the PDI bothered to reset from the delivery pressure. Reset the TPMS. 1.0 MPI's have done OK in the CitigoUp!Mii's be that Euro 5 or 6's.
This engine already powers the VW up! and Skoda Citigo. We tried on preview in Portugal the friskier 90PS 1.2 four-cylinder petrol (details below) in top SE L trim at £14,240, which expects to rise to be best-seller overall when the estate is added to the Fabia range next year.
We are looking at a Fabia Estate as a future replacement for our 2010 Honda Jazz, which lacks boot space. I've heard too many horror stories to buy another car with a cam belt, and a dealer tells me the Fabia 1.2 TSI petrol engine has a timing chain, but apparently there's a history of even these breaking on Volkswagen group engines.
The noise was still there even without the belt, which means that it's not the AC or any other pully that's spinning by the belt. Next step was to determine if the noise was coming from the timing or the water pump. Opening the engine discovered that the water pump is on the left side of the engine, and the noise was coming from the right side
edit: Skoda said it was a fuel pipe rattling, the fuel pipe can be found on the top left corner in a metal enclosure. Looks like that was my problem. 2010 sk
